July 8, 2026 – Jewish Home proudly recognized outstanding staff members during the second annual Shirley and Morris Carr Employee Recognition Awards ceremony.
Established on December 13, 2024, through a partnership between longtime Brighton residents Jerry and Toni Carr and the Jewish Home Foundation, the awards honor the memory of Jerry’s parents, Shirley I. Carr and Morris J. Carr, while expressing gratitude for the dedicated employees who provide exceptional care in Jewish Home’s long-term care program.
Now in its second year, the program continues to grow, with nominations increasing from 18 in its inaugural year to 43 nominees in 2026. The awards recognize staff members who consistently go above and beyond in caring for residents, demonstrating compassion, dedication, and a commitment to treating residents like family.
The Carr family created this award as a meaningful way to give back to Jewish Home. After experiencing the compassionate care Shirley received as a resident, they wanted to honor the caregivers who make such a profound difference in the lives of residents and their families every day.
“We are so grateful for each of this year’s nominees and the fabulous way they go about caring for those we are privileged to serve,” said Tom McDade Clay, Executive Director of Jewish Home Foundation. “Our sincere thanks to Jerry and Toni Carr for making this recognition and honor possible and for investing in our wonderful Jewish Home employees.”
Nominees were submitted by their peers, residents, and families. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
