Visitation
Guidelines
- Suggested visiting hours at the Jewish Home are 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily
- All visitors must sign the visitors’ log at the Concierge Desk at the front entrance upon arrival and departure
- Immediate family and relatives are not subject to visiting hour limitations, unless requested by resident
- 24-hour access to non-relative will also be provided with consent from resident
- The resident may designate the visitors of their choice

The following reasonable restrictions will be in place to protect the security of all residents, patients and participants:
- Locking and facility doors at night
- Supervised/limited access for visitors with disruptive or other inappropriate behavior
Health & Safety Guidelines
Visitor and Staff Masking:
- Masking is optional for residents, patients, visitors, and staff in most Jewish Home facilities and programs, in accordance with the guidance from the Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control.
PPE/Face Mask Wearing:
- If a room is on precautions: additional PPE is required (Please refer to the posted signage at the entrance of the room for specifics) and will be provided at the entrance of the affected room.
Infection Prevention:
- Good hand washing
- Do not visit if you are sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick
Infection Prevention:
- Outbreak testing is initiated when a new respiratory case (COVID-19, Influenza, RSV) occurs on our campus. Only residents and/or staff members that have been directly exposed will be tested. Exposure is determined using contact tracing.
Isolation & Exposure Guidelines
The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has provided updates and recommendations for the use of transmission-based precautions (quarantine).
We will only be restricting individual rooms moving forward for three reasons:
- Resident is exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual and not up-to-date with vaccine status (see above for up-to-date definition).
- Resident is exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual and becomes symptomatic.
- Resident is COVID-19 positive.
We continue to provide the opportunity for families to join their loved ones at any of our programs. You are more than welcome to join your loved one at a program in the Cottage Community room, outdoors on our campus or at programs within the Farash Tower.
