Jewish Home Celebrates 2025–2026 Project SEARCH® Interns

Rochester, NY- Recently, we celebrated six interns who completed Jewish Home’s Project SEARCH® program.

In partnership with Heritage Christian Services, Jewish Home is proud to serve as the business partner for Project SEARCH®, a nationally recognized employment training program that prepares young adults with disabilities for meaningful, competitive employment. Through immersive, real-world job experience and personalized support, participants gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to thrive in the workplace.

Made possible in the Rochester area through the support of the B. Thomas Golisano Foundation, Project SEARCH® has been a part of Jewish Home since 2018. Since its launch, the program has empowered interns by providing hands-on training, workplace mentorship, and valuable life skills. More than just an internship, Project SEARCH® helps participants build confidence, develop professional skills, and achieve greater independence as they prepare for successful careers.

“Our Project SEARCH program at Jewish Home is so much more than just a program—it’s an opportunity,” said Sue Adams Price, Director of Staff Development and Person-Centered Care and liaison between Jewish Home and Heritage Christian Services. “It’s an opportunity for all of us to learn from one another, grow together, and build a more inclusive community. For our interns, it’s a pathway to employment that fosters greater independence while helping them develop lifelong skills.”

A special thank you goes to Jessica Bellerdine, Jewish Home’s Project SEARCH® Coordinator, for her passion, dedication, and commitment to leading this incredible program and supporting our interns every step of the way. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the many staff members who generously dedicate their time, mentorship, and expertise to help each intern succeed throughout every 10-week internship rotation.

We are grateful for this meaningful partnership and the positive impact it continues to have on the lives of these young adults. We look forward to welcoming our next group of Project SEARCH® interns this fall!
