(November 6, 2026 – Rochester, NY) – We recently celebrated employees from across our campus at the 2026 Arthur & Louise Wasserman Employee Recognition Awards. Established in 1984 by Arthur Wasserman and his three sisters, this special award was created in memory of their beloved aunts, Sarah Lehrer and Dorothy Silver. Both women were residents of the Jewish Home and benefited from the exceptional care provided by the organization’s dedicated staff.
The Wasserman Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond each day, demonstrating outstanding performance, dedication, and service to those in our care.
“The Wasserman Award is especially meaningful because it recognizes the people who make a difference in ways both big and small. Every day, our employees bring compassion, kindness, and dedication to the residents, families, and co-workers who depend on them. Seeing these individuals nominated by those who witness their impact firsthand makes this honor even more special. We are incredibly proud of each nominee and award recipient, whose commitment reflects the very best of who we are as an organization.” — said Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Quality
This year, we received a record-breaking 92 nominations! Throughout the year, co-workers, supervisors, residents, and family members had the opportunity to recognize employees who make a meaningful difference.
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated for this year’s awards! Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Jewish Home family. Thank you for all that you do each and every day!
Congratulations to our 2026 award recipients!
