Jewish Home is ranked #9 in the United States on the “Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services” 2026 list

Employees graded Jewish Home at higher than 90% in all categories

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jewish Home has been ranked no. 9 in the country on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services list for 2026 among large “Senior Housing” entities — with Jewish Home the only one to make the list from New York state.

Fortune, in partnership with Activated Insights and “Great Place To Work,” identified the top 30 large senior-housing organizations from all eligible entities nationwide. The 2026 national rankings were based on feedback gathered from 1.3 million confidential survey responses, of which 217,000 responses were from employees.

Feedback from employees about their experience at work determines a particular senior-housing organization’s ranking. Jewish Home was graded at higher than 90 percent in all categories of the Fortune employee surveys.

Survey questions addressed work safety; a welcoming culture; pride in telling others you work at Jewish Home; staff celebration of special events; and having the resources and equipment to conduct a job. This is the fifth consecutive year Jewish Home has made this list.

“Being recognized by Fortune is incredibly meaningful, but what makes this honor truly special is knowing it reflects the voices and experiences of our employees,” said Christine VanVessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Quality. “Our team members bring compassion and purpose to their work every day, and this recognition simply speaks to the Jewish Home culture. When employees feel valued, supported, and connected to our mission, they can provide the exceptional care everyone deserves. As our community continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming new team members who want to build a rewarding career while making a real difference in the lives of others.”

As the national standard for workplace culture for more than 30 years, “Great Place To Work” is building a database of the best healthcare companies to work for in the nation as determined by employee surveys, rigorous data analysis, and benchmarking,
