Jewish Home Appoints Dr. Suzanne Gillespie as Chief Medical Officer

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jewish Home is proud to announce the appointment of Suzanne Gillespie, M.D., as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Gillespie, who has served as Associate Medical Director at Jewish Home since 2023, was selected for her outstanding clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to advancing care for residents and patients.

At Jewish Home she has provided exemplary clinical care for patients and residents and mentorship to medical staff. She holds board certifications in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and is a professor in the Division of Geriatrics and Aging at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Gillespie’s career includes leadership roles at the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System, Monroe Community Hospital, and Fairport Baptist Home. She is a respected national leader who served as president of the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (formerly known as AMDA). Her published research and process-improvement initiatives have earned her numerous awards and the respect of colleagues nationwide.
