Spiritual Care
& Education
Person-centered care includes spiritual support for our residents and staff. As part of our ongoing commitment to wellness and inclusion, we offer spiritual care, as well as religious services, for many faiths across our campus—all supported by our in-house chaplain.
Our Spiritual Care team serves as a liaison to other clergy from the greater Rochester community so we can provide spiritual support to all residents, family members and staff, regardless of their faith, race, ethnicity or orientation.
We coordinate regular services and programs to meet the needs of residents of all religious backgrounds. The goal of all our spiritual programs is to uplift the quality of life for residents and staff, while also providing comfort and support during difficult life transitions.

Jewish Education
Jewish Home provides in-house educational programming for employees and residents covering a wide range of topics, including many aspects of Jewish religion, culture, and traditions.
These sessions help team members and residents connect more deeply with the rhythms of Jewish life. Classes explore weekly celebrations like Shabbat, major holiday rituals, and the meaning behind prayers, blessings, Jewish practices, and symbols. Residents enjoy opportunities to revisit familiar traditions and share personal stories, while employees gain practical knowledge that helps them provide more culturally sensitive and meaningful care.
Programs take place in a variety of settings: sometimes in our dedicated classroom, fully equipped with today’s technology for modern learning, and often in the very places where residents live and gather, bringing learning directly into their daily lives.
Content is developed and delivered by our in-house team, led by Rabbi Silvana Bacman. This unique, free education is unlike anything available at other senior living communities anywhere in the country. It gives employees and all residents—Jewish and non-Jewish alike—genuine insight into Jewish values and traditions, fostering understanding, strengthening connections, and creating a community where everyone feels included
